You Can't Speak With Communists

From today's MF Dnes and translated by me:

Some of the biggest names in Czech music are putting together a concert against Communists. Groups like Lucie, Kryštof, Ivan Hlas and Vlasta Třešňák will be taking part.

"Preference for the KSČM [the unreformed Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia] has risen. The Communists are the second-strongest party in the country," said David Koller of Lucie, one of the concert's organizers. He, like other perfomers taking part, consider this a dangerous trend.

The concert, titled "You Can't Speak With Communists," was inspired by a petition of the same name, which started in June and has been signed by hundreds.

The concert will take place November 18 in the former ČKD hall in Karlin. Proceeds will go to flood repairs.
